What we treat
If you come across brownish or yellowish patches on the surface of your teeth, it may be a sign that they are decaying and we would recommend that you book an immediate appointment with a qualified dentist.
Who treats decaying teeth in our studio?
How do we treat decaying teeth?
Tooth decay can be caused by acidic substances (diet, gastroesophageal reflux, anorexia, bulimia), bad habits (e.g. biting fingernails or chewing on pens), or excessive teeth grinding (bruxism), leading to damage to the surface, firstly of the external layer (enamel) followed by the deeper layer (dentine).
Our guiding principle is to preserve the tooth, yet a core part of our mission is to raise awareness of preventative methods, through a healthy diet, improving brushing technique and applying a nocturnal mouth guard (Night Guard) to limit the damage of teeth grinding.
When the tooth is too badly decayed, the aesthetic and functional reconstruction can be carried out with resinous materials, with the intention of restoring a natural look to the tooth.
